Using Pinterest to find a finance job is like throwing a Hail Mary: a few people may have gotten lucky—someone I know posted her resume here, which helped her to land at a tech company in Silicon Valley—but job-seekers, especially those who aren’t seeking a digital opportunity, are better off using networks that are built specifically to fuel your career, like LinkedIn, Indeed, or Monster. Even an email to friends and acquaintances has the benefit of being targeted and personal, whereas Pinterest is a photo-based website whose users are interested in inspiration, not solicitation.
